Mahwari Justice

Mahwari Research

We investigate the gaps in menstrual health knowledge, access, and policy to better understand people’s experiences and strengthen our advocacy for menstrual justice in Pakistan.

Making Menstrual Health Research Disability-Inclusive

This qualitative study explored how research methods can better accommodate the communication and mobility needs of participants with disabilities. Through interviews, focus group discussions, and a co-creation workshop in Lahore, the study examined how accessible research practices can support more inclusive menstrual health knowledge and resource development.

What's In My Pad?

As part of our What’s In My Pad? campaign, Mahwari Justice is conducting a survey to understand people’s awareness and experiences of menstrual products, including ingredient transparency and product safety. The research will help inform our advocacy for clear ingredient labelling, stronger safety standards, and better-informed choices for menstruators in Pakistan.

Want to contribute?

The survey takes approximately 5–7 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous and will be used for research and advocacy purposes.

Looking ahead!

Our research continues to grow alongside our advocacy. We aim to expand our research into menstrual health, accessibility, and product safety, including testing menstrual products for heavy metals and potentially harmful chemicals. By building an evidence base on product safety and ingredient transparency, we hope to strengthen calls for clear labelling, effective safety standards, and greater accountability from manufacturers.
